Brattleboro Renters 101: What Renters Need to Know

Renters 101 course is for individuals who are looking to improve their rental history, learn what their rights are as tenants and learn what it means to be a good tenant. The series is sponsored by the Winston Prouty Center, SEVCA and Groundworks Collaborative. Each session has a guest speaker.

 

Dates:
October 10 – Welcome to Renters 101 and Budgeting
October 17 – Housing Readiness: Good Tenants
October 24 – Tenants Rights and Responsibilities
October 31 – Credit: How to Repair It

 

Time: 1:00-3:00 pm

 

Location: Windham and Windsor Housing Trust, 68 Birge St. Brattleboro.

 

Attendance at all four sessions is encouraged. Participants who attend all four sessions receive a certificate of completion that can be added to housing applications.  If individuals are on Reach Up they can use this as fulfilling some of their required hours.
