Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals, Fall 2019

Windham Regional Career Center Adult Career & Technical Education, in collaboration with the Windham Early Childhood Educators Coop, Vermont Northern Lights Career Development Center and the Child Care Counts initiative is pleased to announce Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals  as a Fall WRCC offering.

“Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals” provides the Level 1 course work for the nationally recognized Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.

The program is designed to help participants navigate the initial stages of the Early Childhood Career Ladder , provide a foundation for advanced childcare certifications and illustrate linkage to degree granting programs through the Vermont State College system.

Instructor: 

Melissa Mroz-Gaskill is the director and head teacher at The Little Red House Early Learning Program in Brattleboro, VT.  Melissa has Baccalaureate of Science degree in Child Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island, a certificate of Non-Profit Management from the Marlboro Graduate Center, and professional training in the child-centered Montessori Method of education and Wilson Reading System.

Class Time & Dates:

Fall 2019

September – 16, 18, 25  October – 2, 9, 16, 23, 28,30  November – 6, 13, 20  December – 4, 11, 18

Wednesdays – 3 hour class – 5:30pm to 8:30pm

* Two classes – Monday/Wednesday – on the weeks of September 16th and October 23rd
