Cooking for a Cause
Thursday, June 5th
Join us for Cooking for a Cause! On Thursday, June 5th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Winston Prouty’s Early Learning Center teacher Jack McAlevey will be guest-chef at Amaru Gourmet! He’ll be cooking up delicious Peruvian fare to help raise funds for the Center. A portion of each meal will be donated to Winston Prouty, and the event will be live-streamed for diners and viewers to enjoy.
Jack is the co-teacher in our Cedar Room, which has 17 four and five year old’s enrolled. He brings his love of cooking into the classroom where the preschoolers have had the opportunity to make homemade pasta and mac-n-cheese, bake fresh bread and cake, and even grow sprouts to taste this year!

Cooking for a Cause is supported in part by Brattleboro Community Television. Jack and Honor Woodrow, Early Learning Center Director, recently joined Chef Luis at BCTV studios to talk about this unique event and share what the proceeds of the night will support.
The video will also be streamed with the live cooking footage on June 5th 6-7pm.
Mark your calendars for dinner out with us to help our mission to provide inclusive education and family support to promote the success of children and families.
