Building the Bookmobile

The new bookmobile is beginning to take shape! TechOps is working hard to get all the details right. We expect it will be completed before the end of the month!

We’ve also started our design process with A Sign & Graphics Inc. in Baltimore, MD. We’re looking forward to seeing their mock-ups for the vehicle wrap, which will include a few dozen self-portraits of young children in the community.

Here are some picture of the process. The air conditioning unit will be built in to a cabinet. This will be a major upgrade for Sueño during the summer season!

The stadium seating in the back was inspired by a bookmobile from Virginia Beach that we found during our research. The layout will be a big improvement for story-time!
