Free Valentine Making Workshop

 Feb 2, 2020, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Danish Heart Baskets ~ To Fill with sweets for your sweetheart!

Victoria Mansuri is the creator of By Our Hands ~ A Place to Create Together! She is also a Waldorf elementary and handwork teacher of over 20 years. Victoria has recently moved to Brattleboro to start teaching crafts classes and is excited to bring enriching programs to the community, for children and adults, alike.

Victoria’s mom lived in Denmark and brought back many traditions for celebrating the holidays with joy and warmth. Danish heart baskets are traditionally hung on the Christmas tree. Adapting them for Valentine’s Day gives them a time to shine on their own! She makes them from recycled calendars; the paper is colorful, and we can think of it as a Valentine’s Day gift for Mother Earth, as well.

Who: All ages (easiest for ages 10+, but younger are welcome with adult help)

When: 2:00-4:00; Feb 2, 8, & 9

Where: The By Our Hands Craft Room – Upstairs at 11 Butterfly Lane, Brattleboro, VT

Price: Free ~ After, pay what you thought it was worth, which could be as little as nothing, or as much as . . . you decide! Nobody should be turned away from a Valentine making workshop because of limited funds. Bring your own scissors; recycled calendars are provided, but you are welcome to bring any special paper or more recycled calendars, if you like.

Registration: byourhandscreate@gmail.com or 410-925-8532

Register today, space is limited!
