Speech and Language Pathologists to Work with Infants and Toddlers in Southeastern VT

We are looking for Speech and Language Pathologists who would enjoy collaboration with our dynamic early intervention team to provide coordinated, comprehensive, and family-centered services to infants and toddlers with special needs in natural, inclusive environments. Candidates must be skilled in working as a member of a collaborative team with families, early educators, and community providers. Experience in supporting feeding skills, language development, and social communication skills in children birth to three is a plus.

Job Openings in the Early Childhood Field:

Program Assistant – Neighborhood Schoolhouse

The Neighborhood Schoolhouse seeks a full-time Program Assistant. This position will be responsible for maintaining records and accreditation, planning events and fundraisers, providing first aid, teaching before and after school care once a week, covering for classroom teachers as needed, ordering supplies, etc. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to shift from one task to another easily, have experience working with children in group settings, and be extremely personable and responsive to families, teachers and children. Preschool Co-Teacher  – The Garland School

We are seeking individuals who can bring their passion and dedication to teaching preschool children in our nature-based program with the option of starting currently as a co-teacher, and evolving into the summer and next year . Our children’s ages range from ages 1-6 years old. Preferred candidates will possess Waldorf training and/or experience in Waldorf early childhood (although candidates early in their career are also encouraged to apply), and have a deep love of sharing the outdoors with children. To qualify as a head teacher, applicants should possess around 21 college credits relating to education or human development, or the equivalent. To qualify as an assistant, 3 credits in the same fields are required. Familiarity with the work of Emmi Pikler is also beneficial. As a teacher in the Garland community, your work includes working closely with colleagues to hold the school, which includes communicating with parents, festival work, faculty meetings, fundraising, and school events. In addition, individuals who have a love of sharing story and song, interest in local whole-foods cooking, gardening, and spending extended time outdoors are desirable. Mature, reliable, nurturing adult needed to assist team of teachers in our pleasant infant classroom.
