The Winston Prouty Center for Child Development provides inclusive education and family support to promote the success of children and families. The Center has two distinct yet connected programs, the Family Infant Toddler Program and the Early Learning Center.

The Family Infant Toddler Program is the statewide Part C services to Vermont families with infants and toddlers who have either a developmental delay or a medical condition that may affect development.

The Early Learning Center is an early care and education program with a focus on the integration of children with unique learning styles and abilities. Our goal is to let children learn and build relationships with other children and adults. We embrace the ability of young children being able to accept each other in ways we often lose as we grow older.

The Creamery Covered Bridge will be permanently closed beginning on Monday, May 24, 2010. Click here for alternate directions. The new bridge is scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer.

We are thrilled to announce that the Early Learning Center has been accredited by the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Accreditation. Our program is proud to have earned NAEYC Accreditation – the mark of quality for early childhood education programs. The Winston Prouty Center for Child Development is pleased to announce its continued participation in Vermont’s STep Ahead Recognition System (STARS) for Child Care, Early Education and Afterschool Programs. STARS awards points based on five "arenas of action" and programs can earn one to five stars. Our program has achieved a level of 5 STARS! STARS recognizes the accomplishments of registered and licensed programs for achievement above and beyond what is required by state regulations.
